The City of Whiteville is seeking to fill the position of Firefighter. This position performs firefighting duties. Also performs related duties to suppression and prevention of fires, rescue victims, medical emergencies, operates and maintains all department equipment and station facilities, participates in ongoing training programs, and works under close supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures. This person must possess a valid NC Class B driver’s license and the willingness to obtain level of certification required by the Fire Department. This person must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED, NC Firefighter Level I Certification or some experience as a Firefighter, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
