POSITION VACANCY
The Ocean Isle Beach Fire Department is currently accepting resumes and applications for the following position.

FIRE ENGINEER

1 Full Time Position

An employee in this class reports directly to the Asst. Fire Chief and participates in the operations of fire suppression, fire education and prevention, water and technical rescue, basic life support and other incident response operations. Full time employees work on a 24 hours shift and participate as part of a team in the maintenance of facilities, equipment and apparatus.    

Employment prerequisites include: Graduation from high school supplemented by completion of courses and seminars in fire service; or an equivalent combination of experience and education, possession of a valid class B NCDL, Firefighter I/II certification, NC EMT certification (Preferred), Emergency Vehicle Driver Certification and the following all within a time frame required by the Town: Water Rescue Certification, Driver Operator Pumper Certification,
Driver Operator Aerials Certification and ICS 300 Certification
Salary for Full-time position is commensurate upon experience and qualifications

Salary Range  34,690 - 52,035
