Good morning.  We have been back and forth on this matter for a few years.  We have hired entry level sending them to class either for FF / AEMT or Paramedic and then they move onto a higher paying  Agency.   We have been told to write an agreement but it won't have any value after the last check has been issued.  So for us it is on a case by case.  I hope this makes some sense.  Good luck.  Chief Tom Kelly Riceville VFD.
