Battalion Chief
Minimum requirements for Battalion Chief position:
Seven (7) years of emergency services experience with a minimum of three (3) years of that experience in a supervisory role, or an Associate’s Degree in a public safety discipline with five (5) years of fire service experience with a minimum of two (2) years of the experience in a supervisory role;
- Possession of a valid NC Class B driver’s license;
- Possession of an EMT-B credential;
- Certified NC Firefighter II
- Certified NC Fire Officer Level 1
- Certified NC Fire Instructor Level 1
- NC Driver/Operator Pumps; (NC D/O aerial Operator within one year of employment)
- Certified NC Emergency Vehicle Driver
- NIMS/ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
- NC Chief 101 course completion
- NC Driver/Operator Pumps
· 21 years of age and reside within a 35-mile radius of Fairview Fire Department’s Headquarters
· ICS 100, 200, 700, 703, 706 and 800 prior to employment start date
