The Office of the Fire Marshal is the enforcement, educational, and informational arm of the Raleigh Fire Department. We perform site inspections, review fire protection system plans, issue permits, enforce fire codes, and coordinate pre-fire planning for buildings and facilities within the city. The division is also responsible for conducting fire investigations to determine origin and cause of all fires and provides public fire education to the citizens of Raleigh. We currently have a vacancy for the position of Fire Plans Examiner and are accepting applications for the positions until filled. The hiring range: $50,930.00 -$70,000 and the position closes December 12.
