The Altamahaw Ossipee Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Firefighter/Driver and Part Time Firefighter/Driver.

The Altamahaw Ossipee Fire Department is looking for a candidate with a considerable amount of experience in pump operations to fill a full-time position. An employee in this class will work 24 hours on and 48 hours off.

Qualifications:

-Be at least 21 years of age -3 years of firefighting experience

-NC Fire Fighter level II certification -NC Hazardous Materials Responder

-EMT-B -EVD certification

-NC Rescue Tech or TR (Preferred) -NC Driver Operator Pumps

-Computer skills -Be physically fit for the job

-Have class B driver’s license or able to obtain class B

Candidates must pass a Pump Operations Test, a Physical Agility Test, and EMT Scope prior to employment.

Applications may be picked up at the Altamahaw Ossipee Fire Dept. between the hours of 7a.m. and 5p.m. M-F. A full Resume must be submitted with application along with certifications and Criminal Background checks.
