FIRE FIGHTER 1 Full Time Position An employee in this class reports directly to the Captain and participates in the operations of fire suppression, fire education and prevention, water and technical rescue, basic life support and other incident response operations. Full time employees work on a 24-hour shift and participate as part of a team in the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and apparatus. Employment prerequisites include: Graduation from high school supplemented by completion of courses and seminars in fire service; or an equivalent combination of experience and education, possession of a valid class B NCDL and the following all within a time frame required by the Town: Firefighter I/II certification, NC EMT certification, and Hazardous Materials Level 1. Salary for Full-time position is commensurate upon experience and qualifications Salary Range $42,513 - $63,770
