BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to provide rapid fire suppression response to protect life and property by controlling and extinguishing fires. Persons in this position drive fire apparatus to fire and emergency scenes, respond to medical emergencies and hazardous conditions, and may fill in as the company officer when needed. This position also maintains firefighting equipment and provides training to the general public on fire prevention awareness and first aid. The Lieutenant will supervise two firefighters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. High school diploma or GED required. |

Three years of fire service experience. |

NC Firefighter, NC Hazardous Materials Responder 1, NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, NC EMT-Basic, NC Emergency Vehicle Driver, NC Driver/Operator-Pumps, NC Driver/Operator-Aerial, NC Class B Driver’s License |
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
