    Regional Firefighter Hiring Process

    The City of Albemarle, City of Concord, Town of Harrisburg, and City of Salisbury have developed a joint firefighter recruitment process. This process saves local governments the cost of doing independent recruitment efforts and is more efficient for candidates because they can apply with more than one agency from the same testing process. During this joint hiring process each department will accept their employment application during the ...application period. Once the application period has closed the departments will merge their applicant lists into one list. This merger of applicants will allow each applicant to only be required to complete one Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) and one written exam for all department’s they made application too. Applicants must make application to each department they are interested in being considered for employment with.

    The application period for this joint hiring process will be open from February 1, 2016 – February 29, 2016 at 12:00AM. Interested applicants should click on the following links to receive more information on the application process and how to apply for the department listed:

    City of Albemarle

    City of Concord

    Town of Harrisburg

    City of Salisbury

    Please remember you must complete an application for each department you are interested in being considered for employment with. You will only be considered for employment with the departments you submit an application with.

    Once the application period has closed, the applicant will receive one letter providing them with additional information concerning the joint hiring process.
