The City of Hendersonville Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire Inspector. This position performs skilled inspection work in securing compliance with established codes governing fire protection and promotes overall fire prevention efforts within the City of Hendersonville. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, graduation from high school or GED, and considerable experience in fire inspections, prevention, suppression, or investigations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Applicants must possess a minimum of NC Fire Inspector Level I certification and be willing to obtain higher levels of Inspector certifications. Preferred requirements also includes NC Certified Fire & Arson Investigator; NC Firefighter Level II; Hazard Materials Level I Operations, and EMT-Basic. Salary range is $35,115.19 – $40,696.52 depending on qualifications and experience level.
