The City of Hendersonville Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire Inspector. This position performs skilled inspections in securing compliance with established codes governing fire protection and promotes overall fire prevention efforts within the City of Hendersonville. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, graduation from high school or GED, and experience in fire inspections, prevention, suppression, investigations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must possess a minimum of NC Fire Inspector Level I certification and be willing to obtain higher levels of Inspector certifications.  Preferred certifications also includes: NC Firefighter Level II; Hazard Materials Level I Operations; EMT-Basic; and NC Certified Fire & Arson Investigator. Salary range is $35,115.19 – $40,696.52 depending on qualifications and experience level.
