Upgraded to Class 2 and now ranked among the top 3% in the State of NC, Lexington Fire Department is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative and visionary leader in the preservation of life and property relative to fire prevention and safety, emergency response and rescue. Professional manages $4 million municipal fire department operation with 3 stations and 52 personnel in a cost-competitive manner, with deliberate focus on safety and wellness.

Successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in fire science or related field from an accredited university, with extensive experience in fire operations and management. Driver’s license valid in the State of NC and good driving record required.
Hiring range is $80,000 - $110,000 within the executive broadband salary range. Salary commensurate with qualifications, plus excellent benefits including acceptance of qualified transferred sick leave from other NC governmental entities and leave accrual rates based upon approved aggregate years of NC government qualified service.
