The Town of Selma is seeking applications for 3 Full-Time Firefighter Positions.  These positions are SAFER funded. Must perform firefighting duties in accordance with the Town of Selma’s Firefighter Job Description.  Firefighters will work a rotating 24-hour shift but may be adapted by the Fire Chief to meet minimum staffing levels.
 Graduation from high school, supplemented by completion of courses and seminars in fire service and experience in a fire service; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
 Minimum Qualifications are NC Firefighter Certification, NC Emergency Medical Technician Certification.  Preferred qualifications include NC Driver Operator Pumps, NC Driver Operator Aerial, and CPS Certification. Must obtain a NC Class B License within 60 days of employment.
 Selected applicant will be required to complete a background investigation, including driving records, and pass a physical examination and a drug-screening test.
