A Firefighter II (FF II) engages directly in firefighting, rescues, hazardous materials incidents, basic first aid and fire prevention activities to protect and safeguard lives and property. A FF II certified as an N.C. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides medical care to the EMT level. A FF II assists in the maintenance and repair of fire stations and equipment.  A FF II performs related work as required or authorized by ranking officers. FF II may also serve as an acting officer to the rank of Engineer.

Salary Range $30,231.09-$47,278.40 (D.O.Q.)
