The Town of Indian Beach, population of 126 full-time residents and a seasonal population of around 7,000, is currently hiring full-time Firefighter/EMT-P/EMT-B's. Applicants must be able to pass a written exam, ALS scenario, physical agility/swim test, and panel interview. The Town's Fire & EMS Department operates on a three shift modified rotation schedule and responds to fire, emergency medical, water rescue, and disaster calls. Applicants must possess EMT-Paramedic, NC Firefighter II, and Haz-Mat Level I (EMT-Basics must have the ability to obtain their EMT-Paramedic within an amount of time set forth by department administration). The town offers full medical, dental, vision, NCLGERS, NC 401K, sick leave and vacation leave. Salary DOQ (EMT-P range- $42,369-$65,764) (EMT-B range $31,841-$45,487).
