The Northern Wake Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Lieutenant/Engineer.

Two different work schedules are available, rotating 24-Hour Shift and 12-Hour Daytime Shift. Work schedule assignments are subject to departmental staffing needs as identified by the Fire Chief. Educational Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3-years of fire service experience. Experience in a volunteer or combination fire department preferred.
Job Description: Lieutenant/Engineer
The position of Lieutenant/Engineer requires the employee to play a multi-functional role. This role encompasses the many responsibilities required on an emergency scene, as well as the daily tasks of maintaining a fire station and the affiliated apparatus and equipment, safely driving the apparatus, properly operating the apparatus and filling in as the company officer when required. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: emergency and non-emergency response to Fire, EMS, Rescue, and other requests for service; facilities and equipment maintenance; pre-fire planning; public fire education; district information maintenance; and other duties as specified by the Fire Chief and/or Immediate Supervisor.

Base Compensation: $41,434 - Plus Overtime and Holiday Pay
