Clayton Fire Department (CFD) is seeking motivated individuals to fill nine (9) Firefighter positions! The application period for this hiring process is September 1st – 30th, 2019 with a start work date of January 6, 2020. New hires will attend a mini-academy prior to starting their shift assignment. Two information sessions will be provided to explain the process, September 11th, 1:00pm and 7:00pm (same information being shared, two opportunities to attend), at CFD Station 1, 325 W. Horne Street, Clayton NC 27520. Note: attendance to an information session is not required for hiring consideration.
Hiring Salary Range:
$39,351.00 – 41,343.00
Requirements:
-Possession of a valid driver’s license
-Possession of NC OSFM Firefighter II (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
-Possession of NC OSFM HazMat Level I (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
-Possession of NC Emergency Medical Technician OR the successful completion of an EMT school by start date and the ability to become credentialed within 6 months of hire date
