Town of Newport Fire Department is accepting applications for full-time FF/Paramedic positions. Position works a 48/96 schedule. Our department covers a seventy five square mile area with a steadily increasing call volume of over 2300 in 2018. The department currently runs one 24 hour ALS unit and one 12 hour ALS unit.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:
High school diploma, Valid NC Driver’s License, NC EVD
NCOEMS credential of EMT-Paramedic,
NC FF II, Haz - Mat Ops, Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
Applicants must also possess ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS.
(NIMS) ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800.
Applicants must also pass oral boards in Carteret County prior to beginning work. Applicants must be physically capable of carrying out the duties that firefighting and EMS require.
Starting base salary $45,474.00 plus built in overtime.
