The Harnett County Fire Marshal's Division is currently recruiting for a fulltime, Deputy Fire Marshal and part-time Deputy Fire Marshals to perform technical and public safety work in relation to fire code enforcement, fire prevention, investigation of suspicious fires, training and serving as liaison with local fire departments, federal, state and county agencies in promoting overall fire prevention efforts within the county. This position works under general supervision of the Chief Deputy Fire Marshal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: High School or General Education Development (GED) and two years of experience in fire inspections, fire investigations, fire prevention education, fire suppression, and emergency management.
Licensing and Certifications:
Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license. Must obtain a NC Class A Non-CDL within 90 days from date of hire. North Carolina Fire Fighter Level I and II; North Carolina Fire Inspector Level I; North Carolina Hazardous Materials Level I; NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800
Salary
Full Time $42,812.00 - $51,375 Annually
Part-time $18.00 hourly
