Entry-Level Full-Time Firefighter; 4 positions available

Minimum qualifications for the position of Entry-Level Full-Time Firefighter are:

• ·         High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• ·         NC Firefighter Level I & II certification
• ·         NC Hazardous Materials Level I certification
• ·         NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 course completion
• ·         NC EMT-Basic Certification (required within one year of hire)
• ·         NC Class B Driver’s License (within 120 days of employment)

Preferred qualifications for the position of Entry-Level Full-Time Firefighter are:

• ·         NC Driver Operator Pumps
• ·         NC Driver Operator Aerial
• ·         NC Rescue Certifications

Starting salary for the position of an Entry-Level Full-Time Firefighter is $34,070.00, with yearly increased pay scale

Qualified candidate will be assigned to one of three shifts. Each shift works a rotating 24hr work schedule. Schedule is the on, off, on, off, on, off for 96hrs, then the cycle starts over.
