Several years ago, our department changed our SOG's to include an area for young drivers. Like many rural areas we started with locals that drove farm trucks, big machinery, etc. on a regular basis. This is not the case anymore and many of our younger drivers haven't driven anything bigger than a full-size pickup.  So, we added an area just for them to go along with driver criteria already in place. Every member must pass a driving test by our Chief or an officer he assigns it to using our equipment. The part we added was, "All new members must be age 21, provide a Class B driver's license, or successfully pass EVD certification".
