If we go back and look over the past 2015 to current we see that this resource of communicating does not work as well as our communications prior to 2015 with the NC Fire Chiefs Yahoo Group. As I travel the state of NC meeting with and promoting the F.F.B.C.F. as well Camp Celebrate and the Burn Centers needs and request, more and more fire chiefs at more and more departments in more to more counties across NC all say the same thing to me when asked do you miss the NC Fire Chief Yahoo Group for communications and yet have I been told NO. It was an excellent resource to provide information, to ask questions, to share information, but due to a few complaining about their phones blowing up with replies it was stopped. So looking back over time to when the Officers Talk Group came on line taking the place of NC Fire Chiefs Yahoo Group it strongly shows what I am saying. From the beginning in 2015 this resource had 20 questions asked of those 20, 5 were answered with 7 replies, in 2016 – 26 questions asked of those 26, 4 were answered with 5 replies, 2017 – 23 questions asked of those 23, 4 were answered with 6 replies, 2018 – 29 questions asked of those 29, 7 were answered with 10 replies, 2019 – 12 questions asked of those 12, 2 were answered with 4 replies and so far in 202013 questions of those 13 5 answered with 11 replies. So if you are reading this and you liked the informational email group we had prior to the change in 2015, please reply, please contact the admins and ask that it be put back in place. It was a great resource, the wheel did not need reinventing, the wheel rolled great and more of the 1100 fire chiefs and other officers across NC in our 100 counties received and read, more replied then than now, and for many we found it helpful. But in order to please some which seems to not have been able to turn on the delete option or no notifications option complained enough to get this awesome resource shut down.
